Default Exhaust, mk5 turbo

im putting a S2 engine in my mk5 next week

wots the best diameter for exhaust tubing, can have one made up with 63mm iternal diameter, this enough?

also will a mk4 fuel tank fit under a mk5??

and a mk5 rev counter will read double when connected up to the RS coil, any way of halving the reading

63mm should be enough, standard rs turbo bore is 2.5"

cant help on the others, though I dont think a mk4 tank will fit a mk5, just use a mk5 injection tank, but need to sort the fuel pump arrangement out

Tank i doubt will fit :-(

Zorst will be fine , usual RST ones are 2 1/2" 64mm O/D

havnt a clue on the rev counter , did they do any Mk 5 's with cvh engines in and a rev counter ??????

Try JAM SPORT , i think they can do a little mod for this ??

as far as I know the cvh engines also had wasted spark ignition.

possibly the 1.3 has a normal type of speedo, or maybe and a big maybe the diesel ones could be adapted, but ive no idea what drives the diesel ones.

exhaust sorted then

mk5s run a wasted spark ignition hence the problem diesels run off the alternator apparently. JAM SPORT got a website?

i thought it mught be the case with the tank fuel pump arrangement??? cant i just connect up the mk5 pump to the RS fuel pump relay

depends what pump you use?

as you will need a decent one, and as far as im aware all the mk5s are in tank pumps, and these are generally pretty poor. using an escort cosworth pump would be recommended.

yep mk5s pumps are in tank, cossie one would be the next likely step.

i assume it would work correctly when connected up to the relay?
