Mk1 XR2 problems

I have a feeling this may be bad news-when i stop my Xr2 after a run ie when warm,coolant is being blown out the expansion tank -any ideas i am not mechanically minded.No problems when engine running.thanks in advance

Expansion tank on mark one is just like a window washer bottle with a clip on top

They still have a pressure cap on top of the radiator.
