Torque Settings...
Does anyone know the torque settings for the big end bolts (where the bottom of the conrod attaches to the crank (i think!) ), and also does the sump bolts have a torque setting or is it a case of just nicking them up not too tight?
Engine in question is a FRST.
Cheers

they're off already mate, refitting rings/pistons tomorrow! Done it before just wanted confirmation....
I think it they are 22-27lb/ft and the sump bolts are 6-8Lb/ft, head bolts being 40lb + 2 1/4 turns....

Sump bolts:
Stage 1 - 7Nm
Stage 2 - 7Nm
Big end bolts - 33Nm
Head bolts:
Stage 1 - 30Nm
Stage 2 - 50Nm
Stage 3 - 90 Degrees
Stage 4 - 90 Degrees
The head has to be done in a certain order, and im pretty sure the sump does aswell.
Thread lock would be a good idea on the sump bolts aswell.
