Default Strange humming noise!!!

Started getting a strange humming noise at exactly 70miles an hour when im driving my xr2i and cant work out what it is?! Thought it might be wheel bearings but would they do it at that sorta speed?! thought u would be able 2 hear it all the time if it was those. Anything else it could be?! as i say at pretty much 70mph it does it and sounds like tis coming from the rear!!

Cheers

Tony

Might be back wheel bearings going, if bearing are really knackered they will make a noise soon as the wheels start turning, sure its not a whine in the gearbox?
