Ok after coming back from Germany car had been feeling a bit flat and developed a miss in 4th gear on boost, after taking the car to the rr day at APT it came clear that the car is over fueling just a tad

Need an idea of what things to check and how please? as Field Motorsport is really busy at the moment and not sure when they can look at my car

Also Jonno checked the resistance of the ECT sensor and want to know how accurate it needs to be? on cold it matched up but when coolant temp was at 80° it was about 100Ω out?

I don't have the figures off the top of my head but i know someone did post up some very good info on the CTS sensor tolerances, but i post on so many threads i dont think i'll ever find that again and i can never get any joy with the search facility

Did Christian not pass any comments on what it could be?

I did have a search with the google thing and as per usual i couldnt find what i wanted

Sometimes i wonder if theres a simpler way to find old threads, everybody else seems to drag the old ones back up for reference

Can't you borrow a MAP sensor off anyone to try? Theres usually an element of trial and error

Auto Dater? Lets not stray off onto your personal problems lol

Just found this in the old Haynes

0 degrees - 89-102K ohms
20 degrees - 35-40K ohms
100 degrees - 1.9-2.5K ohms
120 degrees - 1.0-1.4K ohms

Cheeky sod

Thanks for that info i got that off the cd but as said when the car is at 80° it was about 100Ω out so i need to know how accurate it needs to be or if i need to replace this sensor aswell

Why am i a cheeky sod you wrote it

Ah i seeeeee.......looking at it from a mathematical side......theres about 84 ohms per degree, so being 100 ohms out to the ECU will only be +/- a degree in tmeperature or so anyway, and being that far up the temperature range i cant see it being a massive issue.

Usually its cold starting issues that arise from the the CTS i believe (although i could be wrong), i'd try that map sensor if you can find time in your busy schedule to undo 3 screws

Lou dont get asking him 2 many questions he'll convince you a empty Lambert & Butler packet is the solution

Might be worth checking none of your vacuum hosing has any small splits/minor damage that could make a boost leak aswell

See i bet it didn't take long to undo those 3 screws did it

Buying a wideband lambda setup is about the only other way, it'll soon pay for itself though..........

Innovate make very good ones aswell, think you can get one from them for just over the Ł200 mark with an in-car gauge, and tbh its VERY useful to have it installed all the time incase something should go wrong, pays for itself very quickly.
