Im trying to fit a set of "ultra" electric m3 style mirrors onto my 04 Ka3, but Im having trouble with the wiring. Has anyone on here done this who can help me out. Cheers Emma

hi

they only came with the instructions on how to put the mirrors together as they came in 3 parts. the car has got 2 black wires,1 red,1 blue,1 purple and the m3 mirror has got 1 blue,1 white,1 black, 1 brown.we have tryed putting all the wires in different combinations but the mirror wont move in the right directions as to the way you want them to

if you can help id be very grateful

Its anyones guess without a wiring diagram

Depends if the mirrors have 2 motors or just 1 and a solenoid to change it from vertical to horizontal adjustment.

I can only guess without a wiring diagram of the mirrors, my guess wont be any better than yours

 

Hello !!

After all that have just found out that the shop i got them from gave me the wrong ones they gave me a 4 wire set but i needed a 3 wire set as ive got heated electric mirrors. Still havent fitted them yet going to have a go 2nite

Whats the difference between the 3 wire and 4 wire ones then? You'd need an extra wire for the heater elements?

 

I have no idea i dont understand it either im a women dont understand about cars.They said the heaters in the mirrors work when the front windowscreen de-icer heater is turned on.but ive still got to try and connect 3 wires from the mirror to the 5 wires from the car.Dont now what wire does what on the car !

 

Did either of the M3 mirrors have heaters in them then?

The heaters turn on with the rear window aswell btw

And still without a diagram i cant really be of any help
