hi i had a problem with my s2 where it was stinking of fuel and also black smoke coming out of exhaust under load and i lost all power any way once motor was hot i took out the multi plug from the accuator and this sorted out the problem but it still cut out once driven ive been told that it is my fuel ecu is this correct as i dont wanna get a new one and for it not to be it

It could well be, its one of those things though you'll have to change it to see if it cures the fault or not
