Hi there is no smoke coming from the car when it is ticking over but when gave a rev and the car dumps there is a puff of black smoke coming from it what can this be?

ok cheers so it wont be the turbo or anything like that.

 

Change your CTS then set your CO to 2-2.5% CO.
It defo sounds like unburnt fuel, when the CTS goes duff a lot of people turn the CO screw down to try to get the fuelling correct, but of course this is not the solution.
The sensor is a 10 minute job to change anyone could do, and only £10 or so from MATT LEWIS 01922 692424.

hi ya where bouts is the cts situated as im having the same problem cheers

 

passenger side of head(if rhd) go to the back nr bulk head bit fiddly but pretty easy to change!

 

You can't really see it have to do it more by feel, but 10 mins that's all.
