Ive owned my car for a few years now and its had the same problem, when i start it in the morning the car starts the almost straight away it stalls, or hunts really badly, and if i rev it when i let off the throttle it stalls. so when driving when its cold i keep my foot on the throttle to kepp it going, but if i dip the clutch at a junction without my foot on the throttle it cuts out but when its warm the idel remains really high it sits there at 1500 and wont return to 900 for about 5 secs and when it gets there it hunts a little.
now a new problem has developed
i tried to fix the problem by cheking all the electrical condrions were clean, and then i removed the throttle body to check it was clean, when i put it back together and took it for a test drive the problem was still there but now when accelerating it gets to three thousand rpm and pauses then it feels real flat and dosent seem to want to pull
so ive given up i took it to a garage and they couldnt find the problem eitheir im stuck please help !!!

 

I would look at TPS first, especially if FIVE wire type.

yea mine is a three pin type ! how do i test it ?
its been put on a computer and no faults found

 

Unplug the MAF. If the engine wont run it's probably a TPS problem. If the engine runs better it is probably a MAF problem (normally dirt on the hot wire).
