having problems starting my focus

sometimes it takes several goes to fire it up

replaced battery, but no change, also had starter motor check and comes back as working ok

sometime you can hear a clicking when its turnig over so have now had a brand new starter motor but still the same

the car doesnt have an alarm if this helps?

any ideas...

 

Is it a petrol or diesel mate.

Have u checked the simple things like spark plugs.

 

yes, i serviced it the other day, also swapped the plugs around after service but no change

 

Some suffered from bad contacts inside th ignition switch, I have replaced one that burnt out the contact completely, a known problem, but this usually causes a loss of power suddenly and randomly.

i havent suffered a loss of power it just wont fire up first time
