Would it be possible to fit a head from a TD engine to my mk4 escort van as its just a 1.8d, also does anyone know if the turbo will fit with the bulkhead as i believe the mk4 diesels never used turbos.

yes it will fit, and the turbo, but you will have to mod the down pipe and make a turbo return pipe to the sump or block, it would be easy just to swap your engine for a complete td engine,as the fuel pumps are not the same,as your non turbo diesel.

 

The only head differnce is sodium filled exhaust valves on the turbo.
The pump can be swapped over too, but you need "management" of some kind.
