hello guys i have a d reg bmw 325i convertable and the engine and magangment is dead i also have a j reg e36 325i which is the m50 engined car just wondered if i could change the engine and management into the convertable if so what would i need to change over and also any help on the wireing would be great cheers looking to start doing it next week

 

wouldnt bother.

The E30 uses an M20 engine.

Buy a new ECU, far easier, or swap the whole engine etc over. Ur entering unknown waters wi that one.......

 

if yo want to fit your m50, you will need a few thigs changeing ie brake master cilnder , manifold custom exhaust, flywheel will need skiming cos its to thick to go on as standard , if you rlly want to fit it check out e30zone web site there are lods of guys that have done the conversion on there and are more than willing to help. g
