Default Focus 1600zetec

A mate of mine has a S-reg Focus... it has only done 60K, nice low miles for its age...
Its never missed a beat until last night on the way to work... it started missing on 1 cylinder...
I thought it would just be a plug... so after the night shift... finished at 6:15am... I decide to investigate...
It is missing on cylinder number 4??? furthest away from the cam belt...
It ain't the plug thats causing the problem not the lead eva... (process of elimination lol)
So I've decided to come away from the car because I'm tired... thought I'd rake the brains of you lot on here... most likely to be more awake than me...
Is it likely its gonna be the coil pack or what ever its called ( the bit where all 4 leads come out from... )
Or is there something else that could be causing it to have no spark to number 4...? ie a hidden EDIS unit...?
Any help would be greatly appreciated... hope you've all had fun reading my sleepy post...
Help...

The coilpack pairs two cylinders each side, ie it is two coils in one, each half of coil feeding two plugs so would affect two if it was that!!
If you have defo elliminated plugs and leads it leaves something mechanical, could just be a sticky tappet holding a valve open, or worse, do a comp check .

This is one of the 1st Focus's... S-T reg... there is no spark going to number 4... I can pull the lead off with the car running, put a screw driver down it and earth it out on the block and still no spark...
Its gotta be ignition side... hence why I thought it would be the coil pack... ( or whatever its called? )

Changed the coil pack ( as such )... and its sorted it... The part was just under Ł60 quid with abit of discount... you don't ask you don't get...
