think there mounting points are different mate cvh and zetec....

also even with a slower cheaper engine in a rs2000 the insurance would prob be the same due to the rest being the same could be wrong

You'd be better off getting a car with a smaller engine to start with as the insurance will cost you more due to it being modified from standard. Greenlight insurance on here gave me the best quote as it nearly halved the quote I were getting elsewhere.

I4 will fit straight in mate, all mounts are the same, done the same thing with a 1.3 mk5 shell, engine and all the running gear bolt straight in.

sorry to be a spoilsport but if you drop a rs2 motor in and dont tell
your insurance and the worst happens,ie the plod have your car and inspect it properley you will come off worse.
i know someone who fully rs2000 up a escort and it got pinched
when the insurance offered a payout based on a escort ghia he declined,
then he spouted it had rs2000 this and that.
then the insures paid up nowt as it was a fraudulent claim.

the chassis is the same so it will fit.
you need all the rs2000 looms and engine mounts, rs2000 complete exhaust, fuel pump needed, use standard gearbox with uprated clutch.

Glad we could help David

We mainly cover cars that are not just a piece of metal to you, cars that drivers are endeared to & proud to own - which in itself almost always means the car is well maintained, has decent security and the owner is far more cautious in terms of where the car is parked etc.

Modified cars are even better and to Greenlight represent a good moral risk with owners meticulously planning and spending their 'hard earned' upon their car, they clearly care about the vehicle beyond that of a regular A-2-B basic vehicle owner.

Kind regards

Tony
