Default Efi lumping running...

I've just finished putting my ofac efi engine into my xr2 and upon cranking it seemed to be smoking a fair bit.. Anyhow, I replaced the valve stem seals and it seems a little better but now it seems to be idling very lumpy, as if its over fuelling, and still smoking a little!! When putting the throttle down it isnt very responsive, coughs and splutters then the revs start building up (as if it were a carbed car that was overfuelling). Any ideas as to why this is happening? It has a stg2 ahmed chip, beige injectors, stg3 head, cossie t3 and low compression bottom end.

Any ideas what I can check?
Cheers
Chris

What loom you running?

I'd probably try removing the chip and fitting standard injectors first to keep it simple.

It has an OFAC loom but ran fine before I removed the engine / loom to get the bay painted so I know it has run ok before!!

It was running these before mate . The only thing different is a new turbo but still a T3... Shouldn't be any difference.

Strange.

I presume you've checked for the usual air leaks etc? Dont forget the ECU will take a considerable while to slef learn again, im not sure if you are meant to run it without the chip to self learn or what, might be worth asking Stu or someone like that
