did you change the battery? because if the batterys duff then it wont take in a proper charge. and did you check what it was charging at when u fitted the new alternator?

may b the new battery or alternators packed up, they somtimes do come fukd. iv fitted 2 new alternators this month that have packed up within a week or so. it should hav a warranty on it. or try pluging your multimetor streight into the back of the alternator c wat its reading there

Is your battery light working? Regardless of the batteries state, with the engine running you should see a good 13 volts across its terminals.
