Default s2 rs turbo running?????????

can anyone help?
s2 rs starts some times and runs revs fine but if you let off the throttle it stalls it self and dies
then we have to turn it over 25-20 times and then starts its a bit smokey but it revs clean but just wont idel??

the only thing it has is a chip?

and it back fires too?

can anyone help as its my daliy car know so could do with the info as why its been a pain?
any help pls ian

Sounds like it could be a few things if its back firing aswell.

Check for air leaks, and also i'd check the cam belt timing and so forth. Dont really know what else to suggest its not a lot of info to work with

well we put the belt on and its spot on?
becouse we can get it to ideal we can set the ing timing up?as for air leaks it all seems ok as we have cheaked every where?

will the chip be a prob?

Ignition timing aswell.

I doubt its the chip. Could be a knackered pump possibly!

dose the ingtion side need to be set on 0
do you alter the idle on the screw on the throttle cable or the pot?

sorry iment body?
on the dizzy on a timing strobe needs to bet set at 0?
will the idle make a diifence is what im saying?

if you set a timing gun to zero and then adjust the timing so the bottom pulley mark times up you will be running the ignition firing ATDC

Well if you set the timing gun to the correct timing, you then line up the bottom pulley mark with the timing marks on the cam cover and thats it set.

I dont think theres an engine in the world that runs its timing after TDC
