Default wheel spacer / offsets escos

i want my 8x18 superTs to sit wider in arches , they are ET28 ,was going to fit 10 MM spacers , does this create any problems , ie extra strain on bearings , hubs , or affect the handling?

hub centric ??? does that mean the spacers have a cut out on the inside
where wheel would originally sit on?
does the spacer have a similar "lip" ?
