I've just put an old Ford tape player/radio in my MK3 escort, but I don't know which colour on the cars loom relates to the electric aerial and stereo illumination. I know the colours on the stereo for them, but the colours on the car loom don't match. I think the stereo is from the '90s. All other wires are connected OK and working. Can anyone help?

 

Red with a white stripe i believe

Should be taped to the aerial cable

 

Thanks mate. I'll have a look for that one tomorrow. The one on the back of the radio for the aerial is red/white stripe too but I couldn't see it in the loom.

 

The wire on the stereo should be the same as the cars one, its obviously been cut instead of "unplugging" it
