hi all i have a escort rs turbo and its my first one do not know much about them but its not boosting much at all i have just put a new turbo on it my last one did not have the water going throw the turbo but this one has i may of fitted it wrong ie actuator pipe where does that go to i am in a mess so could someone help please thanks paul

The wastegate actuator pipe goes on the amal valve, if you look closely
at the valve, if still fitted, you will see where the pipes go on,, letters ie R-C- & W, W IS FOR wategate (actuator ) pipe, the other two letters stand for compressor & relief, adjust the rod of the actuator until you can see approx half of the hole of the rod over the wastegate linkcage with the wastegate closed, so it just slips on with a little pull of pressure on the rod, you have to have some pressure to make sure the wategate is shut, otherwise you will have boost problems,

Hi,

If no amal valve fitted, you probably have a bleed valve device, a pipe from the compressor of the turbo housing,
to the bleed valve then to the actuator,
