Rite its doin it when cold and when drivin steady and backing off for lights,junctions and all that, but stops when the engine gets nice and warm, smoke is slightly blue, im gonna change valve stem seals thinkin thats there gettin hard when cold, anyone got any clues? or had this problem? cheers for any help

Sounds like valve stem seals mine was like that when i first got it put new seals in and it's fine now.

 

rite changed the seals but still got smoke thing is it aint blue ish its
more white then anything, i was thinkin it could be piston rings as it stops
smokin when it gets hot, but surely it would still be blue smoke any ideas?

piston rings sound more likely but could be turbo...

How old is the turb>>>

 

not sure how old the turbo is but checked it the other day and has some play in it, but wouldn't the turbo smoke all the time if it was that?
