Default I have some questions

Hello! I have a Ford Escort Cabrio Mk4 1.6 xr3i from 1988. I have some problems with it... the main problem is that the fuel consumption is enormous: 12 litres/100 km inside the city.. and the second one is that i don't feel like the car is giving everything it can.. 105 hp... i feel like it doesn't accelerate fast enough and so on.
for my 1st problem i changed the lambda sensor with a BOSAL 3 wire universal sensor. i notoiced that my car didn't have a catalysator. it was worn out completely. i didn't replace that one. i think it may be because the injectors don't work properly or the injection system... or it may be that the valves don't close sealed... can anyone help me please? i thought of taking the injectors to clean them with ultrasounds.. is it a good idea?

um... it's with a cable.. so it's not about any sensor... and the engine stays ok at idle speed when it's cold and warm. sometimes after i punch the gas good, when it's warm, it revs at idle like when it's cold.. just sometimes. when it warms up a little bit more than "normal"
