Hi all, newbie here, found this site whilst trying to get my mothers escort going, its a '93 1.8i Zetec 16v (LHD but that shouldn't matter)

Car wont start, have isolated power to the fuel pump and that runs ok, also don't think the cutout has tripped either (although how do you reset it?)

Which leads me to believe its the relay, which one is it? I did a search and wasn't sure whether it was pink or yello, which pins can I bridge as a temp measure?

I had the same problem! And it's the pink one.. on mine said 'BENZIN PUMPE SOMETHING'. and it was located under the dashboard on the left side (left hand drive), not in the circuit box under the hood. is it the same to you? (mine is a '88 xr3i so i'm not sure it's the same thing )

 

I can't see any pink ones though!

I'm stuck, supposed to be collecting from airport tonight, can't get a suitcase on the bike of my bike either

 

Was a pink one on my 4i that used to have, though they were all pink for fuel pump, is on my cos as well.
Just wire fuel pump up permanent as temp measure.
Mine were both on the underside of dash above passenger footwell, and I am sure that I remember a fuse on each one, but might be getting mixed up due to age.
Yellow normal for relays, but NOT fuel pump.
As said will have BENZIN PUMPE, german for fuel pump on it, possibly also followed by word RELAIS(relay).
