Changing from std coil to grp A on cossie
Just got a group A coil for my cossie, but the connections are not the same as the original one.
Does it matter which wire (green and black) goes where ? Or, are they interchangeable ?
the group a coil viewed from above looks like this, which connector should I plug the green and black wires too ?
=
O <- coil lead to dizzy

(the = are spade connectors).
Thanks in advance.

Dunno m8, had to change mine and the grp A was only a few quid extra so I thought why not.
I suppose it can help resale for those folks (like me) who don't really know if there is a real difference. I mean the car's got rally bits on

They sure work - check this out ! No more mis-fires

On a more serious note, it didn't cure the misfire on mine, but I never got a chance to try a slightly smaller plug gap due to the above happening before I got home

Yeah, me too. Should have said that the new coil and leads DID make a difference, I had the same misfire with the new with a .65mm plug gap whereas I had to gap the plugs to .5mm for the car to be more or less driveable with my old leads and coil.
Whether the improvement is down to new leads and coil, or, the grp A coil alone I am not sure, and I certainly can't swap new for old again to find out at the moment (see above post) !
