escort cosworth oil pressure gauge
i've hooked up the voltage meter with no probs, the boost gauge has no use but i dont know how the oil pressure gauge works of an RS2000 engine, any ideas?
i take it i will need an escort cosworth sender unit??

You need the Escort Cosworth pressure sensor if they're still available - it's totally different to the switch on a normal Escort. Last time I checked they were about £35 quid...

asked at my local ford parts and they are now discontinued and i have been told that a generic sender wont be calibrated to the ford gauges therefore they will give a false reading.
does anyone have a sender going for cheap?!!!

You could try a generic sender, the times ive heard main dealer people saying bullshit like that when the sad truth is they don't really know the answer!
I doubt the standard one is THAT accurate anyway

I think the wiring is odd on the Escos gauge that might mean it won't work with a generic sender. Rather than having a negative and a positive from the sender it has three wires, two of which are from the sender and one that is negative...
