Theres a lot of mixed views on ZVH's, personally i would say if you don't have a very deep pocket then stick with a CVH.

And for your second question, - EFI all day long. MFI is wank

The cams are near on all the same, the EFI cam from Ford has very slight power gains over the one fitted to the MFI cars but they are both interchangable

SafeChav I know this too but do you know what is the difference between them? higher lift? longer open period?

I have one and I can't even check it for wear as I have no values
P.S. Haynes again says nothing about different cam or anything on EFI engines

You should be able to tell if theres wear or not as the lifters don't sit directly over the cam lobes, usually theres still little black segments where the protective coating has never been touched, if there isn't or theres pitting on the lobes then its probably knackered.

Second hand cams are a bit of a no no to be honest with you

every new cam becomes second hand in day or two....

I was experimenting around, nothing that should ever happen from normal use

All the lobes are still as new apart from the one that has a MASSIVE groove down it
