Default Electric Windows Stopped Working

Was messing around earlier trying to wire up some LEDs off the electric window switchs,

I ran a + and - off the inside of the plug and then pluged the passenger switch back in, it didnt let me open or close the window. So i took the leads back off and retried it but the neither drivers side or passenger side work, They dont light up.

So i checked the 3 fuses but all of them seem fine. What could it be?

what car is it? get some jump leads from the battery and run two wires direct to the motors and see if the work if they do then it's either the switches are knackered or it's blown the fuses or there's a break in the wires between the switches and the motors!

Its a focus,

I have taken all the fuses out and found out that the Haynes manual says different to what fuse the electric windows is.

Says in the book, 37 40 and 42

It was fuse 56

Put a 20A in for now, you just might find it blows again if you wind both windows up at the same time.

It will not cause any damage, which is the important bit

just had the same problem with my x2000 3dr focus
the ford owners manual said the fuses were 44 & 45 so checked and both fine. then systematically checked every fuse and fuse 56 had blown, changed the fuse and "hey presto" the windows work. good ol fords.lol
