just out of intrest how many mile do you lot run in your new engines????this is for an rst???any ideas???????????????

 

They say 1000 miles but i'd say 700, change the filter and oil, get it set up and away you go!

 

i thought so as i was told 200mls but iwas also told 700-1000 then oil filter & oil then set iknew he was wrong!!thanks mate i should have listen to the tunner as he was right and my mate was wrong and he works for ford?

You want some cheap oil to run it in on aswell.

 

depending on what has actaully been done
full engine rebuild-remember to run cam in for 20 mins at 2k rpm
id do about 800-1000 miles on shitty oil,stayin off boost and low rpm for around 500 of that,then introduce small boost and a little more rpm
then oil/filter change and set up/rr

shells/rings etc-i reckon around 500 non abusive miles adding small bosst and revs as the miles clock up
