Default Coont of a oil leak ! 3 door

Anyone with any expierences with an oil leak like this on my 3 door ?

Basically if i have gave it some beans , i pop the bonnet to find oil all on top of the rockercover and running all down to where dist cap is and its also all over underside of bonnet

Doing my head in , keep drying it then back to see where its coming from but then back to square one !

Ive got a feeling its coming from somewhere behind my cam pulley asif i look behind it theres oil sitting in ther pulley at bottom but again oil can get everywhere

My theory is it comes from behind there and the pulley spinning with engine and throwing oil everwhere but again just a theory

Any info would be great

camshaft oil seal mine was doing the same

but was because the previous owner stripping the threads in the front camshaft Cap and thus not holding the oil seal in tight enough and spitting the oil out when giving it some.

just mark the timing up correctly undo cambelt tensioner and release the cam belt off the cam pulleys and hold the pulleys in place and undo the camshaft pulley bolts and you'll gain access to the seal and see if it seated correctly and leaking and then just replace if need be

could be the half moons under the rocker cover although they would have to be bad for that much oil to leak

Thanks people !

I recently changed the rocker cover and had a couple of snapped bolts that fix the rocker cover down , but again seems to be ok at that area well kind of dry lol

Ordered some seals up there , so will try that asap
