Can anybody help i hve the dash clocks from an escort cossie in my cab relica but the fuel and temp side of the clocks do not light up when you turn lights on can this be rectified.

Also the are two wires coming out of the back of the clocks which i hve been told go to the centre clocks to light them up but i dont no which wire goes to which pin the wires are marked as 1 and 2.

 

the escos uses electroluminesence to light the clocks, not bulbs. it uses an inverter to transofrm the 12vdc supply do a AC at higher voltgae , this makle sthe actuall faces of the clocks glow - soulds like you need the whole escos instrument cluster not just bits of it.

 

re the out puts iirc, one is longer than the other, abnd the same on the wires they plug into....

 

I know this but i have no loom to centre clocks need to know which wire goes to which pin

 

TBH, I wouldnt think it makes that much difference anyway mate, otherwise there would be a plug or "handed" wires

Just plug em on and see what happens
