Default gearbox and clutch

how easy is it to change a gearbox and clutch on a 2wd cossie?

getting mine rebuilt end of january and a new clutch, it this a job i can do myself?

Not hard, managed to do mine today(although not changing clutch, just gearbox).
And that was on my own!!

how long did it take you? was this with axle stands and jack etc? CheeRS

actual working time, about 2 hrs in and 2hrs out, about a day in total as i kept stopping if it is your first time it will take longer, especially if your doing a clutch too. This was my second time

no probs m8 will be doning it myself, seems quite straight forward according to my workshop manual, any tips or hints?

Not really, follow the manual and you sould be ok.

think yourself lucky you dont have my car mate, if i want to change my clutch or box i have to take out the rad, intercooler and the whole bloody engine

have had to do it twice as well

Scott if you need a hand give us a shout, have just taken the g/box out of the 3 door, havn't done a clutch though will do that while the engines out.

cheeRS Paul m8, I might just hold you to that offer, I am planning to remove gearbox, clutch anf flywheel over a weekend then drop the flywheel off to be refaced and the box to Bernie to be done. Then put it all back on the next weekend

Box will on;y take a few hour, clutch and fly will probably take only a little bit longer i would have thought, saturdays are better for me than sundays as i have littlen just give us a PM if ya need a hand.
