whats the best way to turbo my mk4 xr3i efi?
right been thinking bout doing this for ages . what do ineed to change and what do i need? where can i get parts etc, and is there any 1 who could help me do the conversion as im not to clued up with this sort of thing. i want turbo power and reliability. many thanks lee

If it's EFI already then the easiest way is to get a fiesta turbo engine,ecu,map sensor ect... as it's alot less hassle than trying to bolt a turbo to the engine you have in the car

You dont need to change the box but your one won't have an LSD and nor will a fiesta turbo one so if you wanted one with an LSD in you'll have to get an escort turbo one if i was you id uprate the brakes as for getting the parts have a look in the parts room on here theres a few people selling/breaking fiesta turbos but if you getting a engine then best to see/hear it running.

Dont ask us if you need to change your brakes, depends if you fancy your chances with the standard brakes and a higher power engine...............

my xr3i has been converted to turbo useing an escort rs turbo doner car. you need the turbo loom,engine and gearbox, brakes front and back, and you need the fuel pump from the turbo. turbo cars run mfi systems with the pump bolted under the car. efi xr3i have the fuel pump inside the petrol tank. fair bit of work, but well worth it!!
