hello! on my series 1, when i try starting it from cold, it doesnt want to tick over, even when you try to accelerate, the engine just cuts out. It ticks over very lumpy (about 400rpm) for about 5 mins, then sorts itself out, BUT, when you drive away, under load after about 10 minutes of usage, the engine cuts completely and doesnt want to restart very easily. but then afterwards, it is perfectly ok.

Could it be a sensor problem? if so, where do i start?

Any help would be great.

sounds as though could be a metering head issue!

 

think your right mate. Had a play today as it wouldnt start, and now it runs good. Will try in the morning when its cold.
