air fuel meter

just ordered an auto meters air fuel meter to monitor the mixture of my 3dr,but how do you wire the dam things up.i am running 4x4 t34 so there is a fitting for a lamba sensor but what after that,do i use a standard 4x4 lamba?

This diagram should explain you will need a 3 or 4 wire lambda to get best results these have heaters and can be bought from http://www.lambdasensor.com/main/mtypes.htm

Go for a 4-wire sensor or you can end up with inaccurate readings
due to the volts drop developed across the engine earth strap, as the alternator charges the battery or when you have the head lights on!!
You can go one step further and fit an isolated 12 volts supply
to the meter/sensor.
This isolates the ground loop affect and will make the meter as accurate as it can be!!
