High Comp or Low Comp
With advances in mapping, what is now considered the route to go, I am at the stage now where I was about to go to greys and low comp, but have read a few posts with people claiming serious bhp with high comp engines. Wondered what was the easiest (and cheapest) route to go and what sort of effect on reliability each route have.
Current spec is:
T4
Rs500 intercooler (not yet fitted)
2WD manifold (not yet fitted)
Bayjoo stage 2 chip and B/board
Grp A fuel pump
3 bar
scorpion exhaust
Dark greens
Any advice would be appreciated

i would say the cheapest has gotta be the old lowcomp big boost route !!
as far as reliability goes , everyone knows about the problems that occur with these motors , some people are lucky (bastids) and some arent , i dont think it will make a difference which way u go cos ur still gna be making a 200 hp motor do at least double what it came outa the factory with .
i think the only difference will be with the old low comp route there are more people familiar with it so u will be able to gain more help and info from peoples experiences , i certainly no what i wont be doing with mine now ..

i was runnin 7.2-1 / wiv a stage 3 hybrid t4 / arp studs ( wont be using them again ) 500 cooler , 3 core rad, lightened balanced complete bottom end , wrc spec headwith bd14 and bd10 cams , wire rung wiv grp a gasket and the usual add ons !!
i ran it in for 2000 miles then had her tuned , we got 420 brake using greys , but didnt wanna turn it up anymore till we,d done at least 5k where we were hoping for around 450 460 brake ( not massive but quick enuff) sadly i had a cracked block so shes stripped again till i can find a 200 block .
