Default xr3i head differances

Hello i have a mk4 escort xr3i which is a mfi and i recently bought a reconditioned head off ebay to have sent away for a
big valve head and a new cam but i didnt realise till i got there to pick it up its an efi head, so what i want to know is
wether i can still use this new head or if i need to get rid and buy another mfi one ?
Thanks for your replyies in advance

Well yea you would need other bits but believe me there will be nothing better you can do to your car than bin the MFI.

Yes the loom will need to be modified aswell.

Its just a thought.

Cheers but i think ill stick to the mfi for the time being i had look at the ends of my camshaft and the only differance
i can see is that the mfi one has a cut out for the dizzy and the efi ones just blanked off with a core plug
so if im swaping the cam if i bought a mfi one would it come with that slot machined in ?

The cams are all the same mate!

The EFI ones have a slightly different profile and will see you a little more power but you can put an EFI cam in an MFI engine
