Default PATS modul

Hi everyone...got myself a little problem

My car is 1998 Escort and has coded ignition keys...

I intend to do a engine swap from 1.6 to 2.0 zetec engine.

Yesterday i connect the mondeo 2.0 EEC-IV to see if my car will start, and it didnt (the LED is flahing fast under the clock)...so thats got something to do with coded keys;

The 2.0 ECU is TAXI, and mine 1.6 ECU is DESK...so they have both internal PATS?
So is the solution, just to get the mondeo red keys and re-program my coded keys?

It is obviously, that 2.0 zetec wont worky properly with 1.6 EEC-IV.

Cheers for the answers!

The DESK ecu is for a 2.0l Mondeo over here, non PATS.

Default PATS

Cheers fellas..but here in our country is difficult to get 2.0 mondeo ECU, specially when u want specific one. The prices are...

The question is the ''TAXI'' ECU with PATS or not?
The model year of Mondeo is 11. 1994.

My ECU, which is 1998 and ''DESK'', has PATS integrated in the ECU.

If in Slovenia the ecu's carry the same names as our ecu's but go onto different engines any advice given is likely to be wrong. For example, the DESK ecu is a 1993 eec-iv and if yours is 1998 then it should be an eec-v ecu. I don't know if the TAXI ecu has internal PATS but it was used about 1994 over here.
