i have a silvertop 2.0 zetec in my ka. i put a 1.8 sump on to make it fit the ka box.

im now fitting a focus rs engine. the sump is in 2 parts. can i just swap this with a 1.8 item for it to fit my ib5 gear box. also what oil pick up pipe can i use? i made one for my last conversion but i belive there is a ford item that fits? thanx joe

 

Afaik - the escort/fez 1.8 pick up pipe should do the trick. assuming hte focus block isnt too different.

Isnt the RS engine badged as duratec but really a zetec?

 

yes its series 3 zetec engine with duratec rocker cover not sure what differences internally though i presume just rods and pistons
