Default 2.0 fiesta si

just wondering how much work is involved in puting a 2.0 zetec blck top into a mk3 si 1.6 as my girlfriend is getting bored of it and wants a bit more power but does not want to change car and really does not want it turbo charged.

tbh mate i still think its the same in regard to fitting the engine, the only trouble you will encounter will be the ecu and the security system on it but it has been done! do those black top zetecs have the exhaust at the back and inlet at the front? if they do i dont really know much more about it sorry!

no they are the same as the old one with the inlet back and exhaust front the 1.2,1.4,1,6 had the inlet at the front but not the 1.8,20. its just i brought a new one from fords in a crate cos a fair bit but thought it was better to do that than get a used unit. cant i use the ecu off of a rs1800i or a escort xr3i or a 130ps engine as i want to used the inlet of of one of these

you may be able to, i just remember something about the oak management system but if you use the same set up as me: i used the ecu from a 2.0 mondeo along with injectors, maf, and throttle body from the same car the ecu needs to have DEEP stampted on it though thats the best one, the best inlet to use is the 130bhp one from an xr3i as it has larger ports and as i found out afterwards its best to use the fiesta rs1800 throttle body as its a pain to modifiy the 2.0 one and i believe the 2.0 and rs1800 are the same size
