Toad Alarm Probs

Toad Alarm Probs
Hi all,
I recently fitted a new alternator to my FRST and since my alarm light stays on even if the alarm is off, i've checked the earth on the alternator, checked the battery but no joy.
Any ideas??

Yeah still locks and unlocks the doors fine

So whats the indicator doing?
What model alarm is it?

Indicator's flash normal 2 for off, 1 for on, altho alot faster than they used to, i think it's the ai606

Strange.
Ive got an AI606 myself. When i said indicatoir though, i meant the light inside the car lol

Hahaha sorry mate, that's the light that's permantly on, it used to flash, and go off when i switched the alarm of, not it stays on no matter what.

Are you sure that all the door's windows and boot are shut properly?? try disconnecting the battery for half an hour then see what happens

First time ive herd of a problem with a toad alarm they are usaly VERY GOOD alarms
Ive had a few of them and NEVER had 1 problem.

yep doors, boot is closed properly, tried disconnecting the battery, connect the battery back up and same happens

Duno what else to suggest really
You could try going into the programming menu and seeing if that does anything

Are the battery's in the key fob good as this can show up as a fault on the alarm if they are low??

Yep batteries were only replaced few weeks back

Lol its not something they normally hand out.
Its in the installation manual you are being offered
Antony where does it say in the manual about low batteries showing up as a warning??

Trouble shooting part it says:
If led lit check batteries in all radio key's and that they are programed in to the unit
You know what these manuals are like might as well be written in taiwan

hi mate take the main fuse out from the alarm leave it out for a bit than power it back up see what happens
