hello im new here and was sent here by my mates at streetrace a have a series 2 escort rst and i have a knocking sounds like top end knocking anyway i changed the head new cam and lifters and it was still there so i decided to put a new bottom end in it now has a 1.8zetec bottom end diffrent head new cam and lifters but the knocking is still there please help what is it

 

hi, bottem end knocks!! top end rattles!!-use a length of tubing to pinpoint area
(one end in your ear!) we use a doctors type stethescope,you can hear fuel passing in the lines!!!! brilliant-guru7001/2

 

yes its the top end and it goes away when warm i have new cam new lifters and you can here the rattle from inside the car when driving i am using oil grade 5 40 is this to thin please help

 

So it goes away when the car is warm?
