Default series one. no spark

i have been restoring a series one for the last three years. Ive got to the stage of trying to get her running, but i have no spark. its got power to the coil via the black wire. my suspicion is with the green wire to the coil. it has a constant voltage to it of around 9 volts even when the distributer is being turned. also if any one knows what voltage reading i should be getting at the wires going into the distributer. thanks for any one who can help

The green wire should switch to earth to fire the coil.

Does the fuel pump run when you crank it over?

(and are you LincolnDanny's mate btw?)

thanks for reply. the fuel pump does run when cranking. i tried a different dizzy but the power to the green wire just stays constant. ive checked the wiring and it seems fine. i guess it might be the ignition ecu.
dont know a danny.

The ECU is about all it can be. The pump running shows the distribtuor is working properly.

Presumably you have check the cap rotor arm etc
