Default Cosworth engine blowing out gaskets

Since having my cosworth setup a few weeks back and running more boost I have been having problems with blowing out gaskets, first the cam seal gasket now the sump gasket has gone all within about 500 miles. The car has a fairly big Phil Alloy breather system on which is almost new. Is there anything that could be blocked I could replace? Or any type of test that can be done?

Thanks
James

Well I have spoken to a few people and as the engine doesn't breath any oil, oil pressure is fine just under 60psi when warm and it doesn't use any oil (apart from when it leaks) I am going to go ahead and get the sump gasket changed so touch wood its just old gaskets/seals, if It does pop another one I think it will be engine rebuild time.

60 PSI when warm sounds high. Not much experience with cosworths though but I'd of thought it would be around 40 psi when warm.

Hi David

Thanks for your reply, Im no expert either but from what iv been told 40psi is on the low side and 60psi is very good.

Edited to say this is when driving not at idle.

What oil are you using? Are you using a standard oil pump? My RST runs at 60 psi when cold and 40 psi when warm I'll ask my mate with a cosworth what his runs at?

Cheers

Apparently cozzies are known for leaking oil. Are you putting any sealer on the sump gasket?

yes im not doing it though.

Its not he fact I have an oil leak that worries me more the fact it has caused two oil leaks since turning the boost up in less than two weeks.

its the higher boost that gives the normal seals a hard time...

i find it impossible to keep my engine leak free..

2.5 bar does funny things to seals lol
