The pipe which goes from the bottom of the reservoir to the pump (the fat one) doesn't go directly to the pump, it sort of bends up, goes in a loop then goes back down to the pump (dont know if its the same on the saphs). What i want to know is does this pipe have to be this shape or could i fit a pipe which goes directly down to the pump. I'm asking as the pipe is no longer available from ford

 

Not sure if its the same as 2wd saph,but I bought a saph one last year from Ford m8

Needs to be special hose for power steering fluid though,very corrosive apparently

I rang Roose Motorsport when doin mine,he couldn't supply anythin to do the job

 

Yep, it is the same as the 2wd saph and have checked at fords and it is no longer available

 

Have you got a helpfull Ford parts dept???????

Just wondered if they had done a check to see if any kicking about at any dealers anywhere in the country

They checked at daventry and said that its no go basically.

 

I'm trying to get hold of the RS owners club as apparently they have bought up all fords discontinued parts so i'm wandering if they have got the last of them.

 

take the old pipe to any good hyraulic firm and ask them to make one up using your old connection from the original pipe!
