Default Help! : Attention all CVH Owners

Please Help!

After Fitting all my parts left to complete my engine only had the Water Temp Sender that comes of the head to fit!

Cleaned out the thread then inserted the sender and tightend it up but the damm thing sheered off! So i am now going to have to drill out the remaining parts as there is no other way i can see to get it out! My Father and i have tried numoures different ways with no luck!

So basicallly what i am asking is!

Does anybody know the thread size for the Water Temp Sender on a CVH head?

Car is Xr2i 8v but think all the CVH's heads are the same.

Cheers

Tiller

drill a small hole in the middle of whats left of the sender & then use a stud extractor to remove or i have used a spline bit that i have tapped into the hole with a hammer when I couldn't find a stud extractor

The only thing i would say is you must have been a bit over keen when tightening it

If you buy a new sender you will be able to measure up the thread size (if you cant remove the old one whole anyway)

99.9% sure its 1/8BSP (I know I have a tap for it in the garage.....cold outside so I'm not going for a look... )... don't quote me on it tho....
