Hard to start
I`m having trouble starting my 99 Escort Turbo Diesel van when it`s cold.Starts fine once it`s warmed up.If it`s a problem with the glow plugs, how can I test them?Cheers,Charlie.
Sounds like glow plugs to me. What's the mileage?
Is it any better if you wait for the light to go out, turn the ignition on, wait for the light to go out again and then try?

sounds like it could be glow plugs to me to . you can check them if you can take them out. use a car battery put a live to the top of the plugs and an eath on the bit that screws into the cylinder head . then the end of the glow plug should glow red and get hot
