Default Stereo Problem..

Fitted my Alpine CD player to my XR2, all went well and everything works. However, when i turn the car off and come back to it, i have to manually turn the cd player back on and the head unit has reset itself. But if i turn the ignition off once it alls set and turn it back on straight away it doesnt do it? So why is it doing it when left? Ive got the ignition, earth and live all wired up.. Anyone?

im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but when that happend to me, i was told that the live and ignition are connected the wrong way round,

i think the stereo has its own memory which save the setting for a while, but when its been of for a while, it automatically resets itself.

i hope thats clear

The colours on Fords are coincidentally Red and Yellow, but opposites to the stereo colours.

So Red connects to Yellow and vice versa
