Default When rebuilding a Turbo

When rebuilding my turbo unit I have these parts in the pack which I don't appear to have in the original stuff from the turbo. Are these to replace something else?

that looks like a carbon type compressor end shaft seal - most Ford application turbo's use a metal piston-ring type dynamic seal, maybe you had both in the set, or maybe wrong set?

Thats one of those sets from America off eBay isn't it?

RST T3's use a normal seal. I don't know if you can mod a standard one to accept that or what?

Contacted the supplier from America and he's sending the other seal out. Apparently the spares are for a different type of turbo. Glad to know I wasn't being daft.
