Default Series 2 engine heat problem

Hi i have a series 2 escort rd turbo and the engine is getting extremly hot in a short period of time. The water temperature stays in the norm but within 10 minutes of driving under the engine bay is hot very hot. It does'nt sound like its too sweet either.

Any ideas on what this can be?
