Default 1.8 ECU Questions

OK i've just had my engine swapped in the 1.8 Si because the old one was knackered.

This one is smokeing a bit under high revs and I'm worried, I hope it's because it's been standing about a while or something to do with completely new oil 'n shit?

The last one did this and then started rattling like mad about a day after the smoke stopped

The engine has apparently done 52k was meant to be out of a S reg Ghia, but it's got the EFi manifold on it, looks like the 130ps one.

At the moment I have my original 115ps ecu it runs fine but I'm a bit worried it's not going to be fueling right and mess engine up like before. In my garage I have a 92/93 130ps XR3i ecu. I tried to wire it up on the old engine, using a mondeo 2L ecu on escort guide. I got it cranking but it wouldn't fire.

I posted on here and someone said something
about an Edis module?

What do I need to do to get mine fueling right for 130ps? What is your take on fitting an early Mondeo 2L ecu? Is it possible for me to get the XR3i ecu fitted as that would cost me nothing?
